Delete your YoursTruly account
Last updated: August 2026
1. About this page
This page explains how to delete your YoursTruly account and related data. YoursTruly is the gift shopping app published on Google Play and the App Store (bundle ID com.lessanonymous.yourstruly), operated by YoursTruly in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
You can delete your account yourself in the app, or request deletion by email if you cannot sign in.
2. Delete your account in the app
Use these steps when you still have access to your YoursTruly account:
- Open the YoursTruly app on your phone.
- Sign in with the same method you used before (magic link, Google, or Apple).
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm when asked. Deletion starts immediately and cannot be undone.
3. Request deletion by email
If you cannot open the app or sign in, email support@yours-truly.io from the address linked to your account. Write “Delete my YoursTruly account” in the subject line and include your @username if you know it.
We aim to complete email requests within 30 days of verifying that the request comes from the account holder.
4. Data we delete
When your account is deleted, we remove personal data tied to that account from our active systems, including:
- Your profile (name, username, photo, birthdate, preferences, and related settings)
- Wishlists and saved items tied to your account
- People you added to shop for (relatives and similar private records you created)
- Connections, connection requests, group memberships, and related social data where you are the owner or the only remaining party
- Notifications, occasions, and budgets tied to your user id
- Authentication credentials for YoursTruly (your magic-link or OAuth session for this app)
5. Data that may remain
Some information may remain for a limited time or where we must keep it:
- Encrypted backups may retain deleted data for up to 90 days before they roll off.
- Records we need for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, or dispute resolution may be kept as long as that need lasts, then removed or anonymized.
- Content you shared into another user’s account or a group they still use (for example a message or shared wishlist item) may remain visible to them, without your profile attached where possible.
- Affiliate partners and retailers process purchases on their own sites. Order history with a merchant is governed by that merchant’s privacy policy, not by YoursTruly account deletion.
6. More information
For how we process personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy at yours-truly.io. Questions: support@yours-truly.io.
